Cans Across the Quad
Show your group’s dedication to service by participating in the 2012 Cans Across the Quad on Monday, April 20th. Grab a group of up to 20 peers to compete by donating the most food items and constructing awesome structures on the Quad (weather permitting) from all the cans. The group that donates the most cans will win cash prizes.
Urgently needed food items include canned meats, canned complete meals, canned fruits, boxed meals, and peanut butter and will count as 2 points. Every other can product counts as 1 point.
Each group must register by April 28th in order to participate in the event by emailingovp@illinois.edu with “CAQ group registration” as the subject line. Groups should drop off cans in the Illini Union Ballroom (2nd floor) from April 28th to 30th, from 1PM to 3PM.
Want to help but don’t have a team? Volunteers are need-ed to help with postering and chalking around campus be-fore the events and collecting/counting cans and organizing during the event. Individual donations are also welcome.
